Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene encodes an antigen that is predominantly expressed in human melanomas and recognized by cytolytic T lymphocytes. It is not expressed in normal tissues except testis. Its expression pattern is similar to other cancer/testis (CT) antigens such as MAGE, BAGE, and GAGE, but it is also expressed in acute leukemias. Five alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been observed.
