Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF) is mitogenic for various cell types and can induce morphological changes and differentiation. FIBP is an intracellular protein that selectively binds to aFGF and may be involved in its mitogenic action. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
