Product Specific Information

The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells during all stages except plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR to mediate tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.4 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best performance.

NovaFluor Dyes Compatibility:

• Not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Blocking Buffer Usage:

• Add 5 µL per sample when staining with NovaFluor conjugates.
• For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a key regulator of B cell proliferation and differentiation, amplifying BCR signaling. Mutations lead to hypogammaglobulinemia; overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity.
