Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge product if not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-biotin, anti-Goat Serum, and Fluorescein conjugated IgG.
Target Information
FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) is a fluorochrome dye that absorbs ultraviolet or blue light, emitting visible yellow-green fluorescence. This labeling enables precise localization of antigen-antibody interactions in immunofluorescent assays. FITC conjugation to proteins is straightforward and typically preserves biological activity. Anti-FITC antibodies are used for isolating FITC-labeled cells via magnetic bead sorting and for reducing background signal in fluorescence applications.
