Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid; dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum, anti-Peroxidase, and purified Glutathione-S-Transferase (Schistosoma japonicum).
- Cross-reactivity with GST from other sources may occur but not specifically determined.
Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in eukaryotes and prokaryotes. It catalyzes various reactions and is used in the GST gene fusion system for protein purification via glutathione affinity. GST-fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying protein–protein interactions, and the GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
