Target Information
MET (c-Met) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase whose dysregulation has been linked to various human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, leading to activation of signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET is involved in embryonic development processes including gastrulation, muscle and neuron development, angiogenesis, and kidney formation. In adults, it contributes to wound healing, organ regeneration, and tissue remodeling. Dysregulation of MET has been associated with cancers such as gastric, renal, and breast cancer, making it a valuable target for cancer research and diagnostics.
