Target Information
CD204 유전자는 class A macrophage scavenger receptor를 암호화하며, 이 유전자의 alternative splicing을 통해 세 가지 형태(1, 2, 3)가 생성됩니다.
이 수용체들은 macrophage 특이적 삼합체 막당단백질로서, 죽상동맥경화증, 알츠하이머병, 숙주 방어 등 다양한 macrophage 관련 생리 및 병리 과정에 관여합니다.
Type 1과 Type 2 isoform은 기능적 수용체로 변형된 LDL의 내포작용을 매개하지만, Type 3 isoform은 ER 내에 머물러 내포작용을 수행하지 못하며 다른 isoform의 기능을 억제할 수 있습니다.
MSR1 관련 질환으로는 Barrett 식도염 및 전립선암이 보고되어 있습니다.
