Mammaglobin은 정상 유방 상피 및 인간 유방암에서 거의 독점적으로 발현되는 유전자입니다. Secretoglobin 유전자군에 속하며 lipophilin B와 이합체를 형성합니다. Mammaglobin은 유방암 임상 연구에서 유용한 마커로 제안되어 왔습니다. RT-PCR을 이용한 혈액 내 순환 암세포의 mRNA 검출 연구에서 Mammaglobin은 높은 특이성을 보이며, 림프절 침범 등 여러 예후 인자와 상관관계를 나타냅니다.
