Product Specific Information

The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is used as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome Information: Super Bright 702 is a tandem dye excited with the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 702 nm. Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass.
• Staining Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple Super Bright dyes, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize polymer interactions.
• Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and samples from light.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
• Laser Compatibility: Excitation 405 nm; Emission 702 nm; Violet Laser

Target Information

Isotype controls help distinguish non-specific background staining from specific antibody signal.
They are typically used in flow cytometry, but also applicable in ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody and use the same conjugate when directly labeled.
