Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45318 was sufficient for detection of 150 ng of alginate-conjugated BSA by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
This antibody binds selectively to BSA-conjugated alginate, but not to unconjugated BSA.
Target Information
Sodium alginate is widely used in biological experiments for cell immobilization and encapsulation due to its biocompatibility and simple gelation with divalent cations such as Ca²⁺.
Studies indicate that alginate microspheres can sustain protein delivery within tissue scaffolds and various cell types.
