1 µg/mL of MA5-45324 was sufficient for detection of GRP78 in 20 µg of HEK-293 lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 78 kDa.

GRP78 (78 kDa glucose regulated protein)은 HSP70 계열에 속하는 열충격단백질로, 소포체(ER)에 존재하며 새로 합성된 분비 및 막단백질과 일시적으로 결합합니다. 또한 변형되거나 잘못 접힌 단백질과 상호작용하여 분해를 유도합니다.
C-말단에 Lys-Asp-Glu-Leu (KDEL) 서열을 포함하며, 이는 KDEL 수용체에 의해 인식되어 ER 단백질의 재활용을 보장합니다.
GRP78은 단백질 접힘과 세포 항상성 유지, 세포사멸 억제에 중요한 역할을 하며, 저혈당 및 신경세포 보호와 관련된 바이오마커로 알려져 있습니다.
알츠하이머병 환자에서 GRP78 수준 감소가 관찰되며, PS1 유전자 변이와 연관된 발현 저하가 보고되었습니다. 또한 항암제 내성 발달과도 관련이 있습니다.
