Product Specific Information
The antibody detects a significant 66 kDa protein corresponding to the molecular mass of SCAI on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of mouse brain and human A431 cells. In brain samples, additional 53 and 41 kDa bands are also detected.
Target Information
This gene encodes a regulator of cell migration. The encoded protein functions in the RhoA (ras homolog gene family, member A)-Dia1 (diaphanous homolog 1) signal transduction pathway. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
