This antibody reacts with CD99R, an extracellular epitope restricted to a subset of CD99 molecule expressed on myeloid cells, NK cells, and T lymphocytes.
Western Blot: non-reducing conditions recommended.
Target Information
CD99 (E2, MIC2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in the regulation of T cell adhesive properties and programmed cell death distinct from typical apoptosis.
Its roles are specific to certain stages of T cell differentiation such as corticothymocytes.
CD99R isoform expression is restricted in the hematopoietic system to T, NK, and myeloid cells.
