The FIB504 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and mouse integrin beta 7, a 130 kD glycoprotein that associates with integrin alpha 4 (CD49d) to form the α4β7 integrin (LPAM-1) and with alpha E (CD103) to form the αEβ7 integrin (HML-1).
These complexes are expressed on intraepithelial lymphocytes and T cells adjacent to mucosal epithelium.
Main ligands include VCAM-1 (CD106), MAdCAM-1, fibronectin, and E-cadherin (CD324).
Integrin β7 mediates leukocyte adhesion and transmigration during inflammation.
The FIB504 antibody has reported blocking activity.
