Target Information
Isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH) catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes are divided into NAD(+)-dependent and NADP(+)-dependent subclasses.
Five isocitrate dehydrogenases have been identified: three NAD(+)-dependent forms localized in the mitochondrial matrix, and two NADP(+)-dependent forms—one mitochondrial and one cytosolic.
The cytosolic NADP(+)-dependent isozyme encoded by the IDH1 gene is found in the cytoplasm and peroxisomes, containing a PTS-1 peroxisomal targeting signal.
This enzyme contributes to NADPH regeneration for peroxisomal reductions and cytoplasmic NADPH production.
This antibody specifically recognizes the IDH1 mutant R132H.
