신경계에서 AKAP5를 팔미토일화하여 시냅스 장기 강화에 관여하며, 단백질 이동과 시냅스 가소성을 조절합니다. 또한 DLG4, RGS7BP, CD9, CD151, CKAP4, LCK 등의 팔미토일화를 매개하여 시냅스 기능 및 세포 부착 조절에 관여합니다.
