Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody IgE21 recognizes the immunoglobulin E (IgE) class of antibodies. IgE is present at low levels in serum and plays a key role in allergic responses by binding to mast cells and basophils via the FcεRI receptor, leading to release of histamine and other mediators. IgE21 binds both soluble and membrane-bound forms of IgE.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated on normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.2 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, and DAPI. Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for optimal results.

This conjugate ships with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01). Add 5 µL per sample for antibody cocktails or single-color controls (100 µL cell sample, 10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, providing engineered fluorescent signatures with minimized spectral spillover and spread.

Target Information

IgE is one of five mammalian immunoglobulin classes. It consists of two epsilon heavy chains (four constant domains) and two light chains. IgE mediates type I hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., hay fever, asthma, hives, anaphylaxis) by binding Fc receptors on mast cells and basophils. Crosslinking triggers degranulation and release of allergic mediators. IgE also contributes to antiparasitic immunity.
