Product Specific Information

Description:
The monoclonal antibody IgE21 recognizes the immunoglobulin E (IgE) class of antibodies. IgE is present at low levels in serum and plays a key role in allergic responses by binding to mast cells and basophils through Fc epsilon receptor I, leading to histamine release. It is produced by plasma B cells and basophils and exists in both soluble and membrane-bound forms. IgE21 recognizes both forms.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells. Use 5 µL (0.2 µg) per test in a 100 µL staining volume. Recommended cell range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability detection.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
  • For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample.

Target Information

IgE is one of the five immunoglobulin classes in mammals, consisting of two heavy (epsilon) and two light chains. It mediates type I hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., hay fever, asthma, hives, anaphylaxis) by binding to Fc receptors on mast cells and basophils, triggering degranulation and allergic responses. IgE also contributes to immunity against parasites.
