For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MDM2 is a ubiquitin ligase for p53 and plays a central role in regulating p53 stability. It is located on chromosome 12q. Akt-mediated phosphorylation of MDM2 at Ser166 and Ser186 enhances its interaction with p300, promoting MDM2-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of p53.
Phosphorylation also prevents MDM2 binding to p19ARF, increasing p53 degradation. Overexpression of MDM2 can inactivate p53 and reduce its tumor suppressor function through E3 ubiquitin ligase activity.
MDM2 is overexpressed in various human malignancies, including soft tissue carcinomas and breast cancer, and interacts with proteins such as retinoblastoma 1 and ribosomal protein L5. Over 40 alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified in tumor and normal tissues.
