Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, while maintaining lot-to-lot consistency.

Functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies, they recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low abundance targets. Each recombinant Superclonal™ antibody has a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, allowing reproducible production across lots and eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibody generation.

Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four other core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure that organizes DNA. Histones are central to transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.

Post-translational modifications of histones, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and gene expression. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 is particularly important, undergoing modifications that regulate cellular processes.
