MAFB 유전자는 basic leucine zipper 전사 인자를 암호화하며, 혈액세포 계통 특이적 조혈 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 핵 내에서 ETS1 매개 적혈구 특이 유전자 발현을 억제하며, 해당 유전자는 인트론을 포함하지 않습니다.
