Target Information
Protein arginine N-methyltransferase 6 (PRMT6)는 type I PRMT 활성을 가지며, glycine- 및 arginine-rich 기질에서 omega-N monomethylarginine과 asymmetric dimethylarginine 유도체를 형성합니다.
PRMT6는 ESR1, ESR2, PGR, NR3C1 등의 스테로이드 호르몬 수용체의 전사 공동활성인자로 작용하며, CRTC2 전사 공동활성인자의 메틸화를 통해 포도당신생합성 유전자 발현을 촉진합니다.
또한 HIV-1 감염 시 Tat, Rev, Nucleocapsid protein p7 등 다양한 HIV-1 단백질의 기능을 저해하여 선천 면역 반응에 관여할 수 있습니다.
