Target Information
Peroxiredoxin(Prx)은 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사와 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열의 단백질군입니다. 약 50종의 isoform이 존재하며, 활성 부위 cysteine 잔기를 포함한 아미노산 서열 유사성에 따라 분류됩니다.
포유류 Prx는 6종의 멤버로 구성되며, typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx로 구분됩니다. Prx VI는 1-Cys Prx에 속하며, 나머지 5종은 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용하는 thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase(TPx) 활성을 가집니다.
포유류 Prx는 20–30 kDa 분자량을 가지며, 세포 내 위치는 다양합니다: Prx I, II, VI는 세포질, Prx III는 미토콘드리아, Prx IV는 ER 및 분비, Prx V는 peroxisome, 미토콘드리아, 세포질 등 복잡한 분포를 보입니다.
