Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)은 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사멸 등과 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열의 단백질입니다. 약 50개의 단백질 동종체가 존재하며, 활성 부위에 시스테인 잔기를 포함하고 있습니다.
포유류 Prx는 6가지 멤버로 구성되어 있으며, typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx로 분류됩니다.
Prx VI는 1-Cys Prx 그룹에 속하며, 나머지 2-Cys Prx는 thioredoxin 의존적 peroxidase(TPx) 활성을 가집니다.
포유류 Prx의 분자량은 약 20–30 kDa이며, 세포 내 위치는 다양합니다.
- Prx I, II, VI: Cytosol
- Prx III: Mitochondria
- Prx IV: Endoplasmic Reticulum 및 분비
- Prx V: Peroxisome, Mitochondria, Cytosol 등 다양한 위치에 존재
