Target Information
Vinculin (VCL)은 세포 간 및 세포-세포외 기질의 부착 접합(adherens junctions)에 관련된 세포골격 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 F-actin을 세포막에 고정시키는 여러 상호작용 단백질 중 하나로 작용합니다. Vinculin은 talin, integrin, alpha-actinin 등과 상호작용하여 부착반(adhesion plaque)의 조립에 관여하며, 세포외 기질과 세포질 미세섬유 시스템을 연결하는 핵심 요소로 알려져 있습니다.
VCL 유전자의 돌연변이는 확장성 심근병증 1W 또는 가족성 비후성 심근병증 15와 관련이 있습니다.
