Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Vinculin (VCL) is a cytoskeletal protein associated with cell–cell and cell–extracellular matrix adherens-type junctions. It functions in anchoring F-actin to the membrane and participates in the assembly of adhesion plaques through interactions with integrin, talin, and alpha-actinin. Mutations in the VCL gene can lead to cardiomyopathy dilated 1W or familial hypertrophic 15.
