1 µg/mL of MA5-45567 was sufficient for detection of GIT1 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 90 kDa. Does not cross-react with GIT2.
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S39B-8.
Target Information
GIT1 is a GTPase-activating protein for the ADP ribosylation factor family. It may serve as a scaffold to bring together molecules to form signaling modules controlling vesicle trafficking, adhesion, and cytoskeletal organization. GIT1 increases the speed of cell migration and the size and rate of protrusion formation, possibly by targeting PAK1 to adhesions and the leading edge of lamellipodia.
