Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes. After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with the primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is breast carcinoma tissue.
Target Information
JAB-1 is a 38 kDa protein originally described as a coactivator for cJUN. It is a component of the large protein complex called the “Signalosome,” which plays a signaling role in mammalian cells. This complex is analogous to the COP9 complex in plants, which is involved in light-mediated development. JAB-1 has been implicated in targeting proteins for degradation by the proteasome.
