Product Specific Information
The eBioCW-1.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CCR9 (CD199), the receptor for thymus-expressed chemokine (TECK). CCR9 is a member of the G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) family and is involved in trafficking of T cell progenitors within the thymus. Expression begins at the DN3 stage, peaks at the DP stage, and is down-regulated in CD4+ or CD8+ SP thymocytes. CCR9-deficient mice show mild impairment in thymocyte development. In the periphery, CCR9 is expressed on naive CD8+ T cells but not on naive CD4+ T cells.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse thymocytes; ≤1 µg/test recommended.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell number can range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.
Fluorochrome Information:
eFluor® 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue®, excited at 405 nm and emitting at 445 nm. Ensure that the instrument can detect this fluorochrome.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
The encoded protein is a beta chemokine receptor, predicted to be a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor. Chemokines and their receptors regulate thymocyte migration and maturation. The specific ligand is CCL25. Expression differs among T lymphocytes of small intestine and colon, suggesting a role in thymocyte recruitment and immune specialization in the gastrointestinal tract. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
