For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Metadherin (MTDH, also known as LYRIC) is a protein associated with tight junctions in polarized epithelial cells, interacting with ZO-1 and occludin. It is not a structural component but is recruited during tight junction maturation.
Metadherin is overexpressed in breast cancer tissues and xenografts, with lower levels in normal breast tissue. It mediates lung-specific metastasis through its extracellular C-terminal domain. Blocking or silencing MTDH has been reported to inhibit breast cancer metastasis.
