For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Periostin (PN), also known as osteoblast-specific factor 2 (OSF-2), is a secreted, disulfide-linked protein that binds heparin and acts as a ligand for αVβ3 and αVβ5 integrins. It functions as a cell adhesion molecule in preosteoblasts, contributing to osteoblast recruitment, spreading, and attachment.
Periostin is expressed in tissues such as the gastrointestinal tract, aorta, stomach, placenta, uterus, and breast, and is upregulated in epithelial ovarian and breast cancers. Its expression is induced by BMP2 and TGF-β1.
The protein includes a signal sequence, a cysteine-rich domain, four fasciclin-like repeats, and a C-terminal domain.
