Target Information

CD47 (integrin-associated protein, IAP) is a ubiquitously expressed transmembrane glycoprotein that interacts with integrins and modulates multiple signaling pathways, including activation of heterotrimeric G proteins.
It plays roles in:

• Intracellular calcium regulation during cell adhesion
• Acting as a receptor for thrombospondin
• Mediating membrane transport and signal transduction
  CD47 binds CD172a (SIRP alpha), an inhibitory receptor on macrophages, preventing phagocytosis of CD47-positive cells.
  This system influences cell migration, B cell adhesion, T cell activation, chondrocyte responses to mechanical stimuli, and neuronal development, with high expression in synapse-rich brain and retinal regions.
