Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-17RA/IL-17R is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
Interleukin 17A (IL-17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine secreted by activated T-lymphocytes. It induces maturation of CD34-positive hematopoietic precursors into neutrophils. IL-17RA is a type I membrane glycoprotein that binds with low affinity to IL-17A and IL-17F. IL-17A and IL-17RA are implicated in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
Defects in IL-17RA cause familial candidiasis type 5 (CANDF5), characterized by altered immune responses and impaired clearance of fungal infections.
