Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 40% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) CCL2/MCP-1 is observed.
- Approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) JE, recombinant rat JE, and recombinant cotton rat JE is observed.
- Less than 5% cross-reactivity with rhEotaxin, rmMARC, and rhMCP-2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
This gene belongs to the cytokine family located on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The encoded protein is related to the CXC subfamily, characterized by two cysteines separated by a single amino acid.
This cytokine displays chemotactic activity for monocytes and basophils, but not for neutrophils or eosinophils. It is implicated in diseases with monocytic infiltrates such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and atherosclerosis. It binds to chemokine receptors CCR2 and CCR4.
