Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production. Advantages include improved specificity and sensitivity, consistent performance across lots, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity due to the extensive rabbit immune repertoire.
Target Information
SOX18 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in embryonic development and cell fate determination. It functions as a transcriptional regulator, forming complexes with other proteins. SOX18 plays roles in hair, blood vessel, and lymphatic vessel development. Mutations in this gene are linked to both recessive and dominant forms of hypotrichosis-lymphedema-telangiectasia.
