O6-Methylguanine-DNA Methyltransferase (MGMT)는 DNA 복구에 중요한 역할을 하는 단백질로, 항암 알킬화제에 대한 종양 세포의 내성과 관련이 있습니다. MGMT는 DNA의 구아닌 O6 위치에 도입된 알킬기를 제거함으로써 손상을 복구하며, 세포 및 조직 유형, 종, 성장 특성에 따라 발현량이 다양합니다. 또한, MGMT 활성은 종양 유형 및 동일 종양 내에서도 차이를 보입니다.
