MA1-70098 detects CD45R in mouse samples.
It has been successfully used in flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry procedures.
The immunogen is mouse pre-B tumour cells.

Target Information

CD45R (PTPRC) belongs to the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, which regulates various cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation.
CD45 contains an extracellular domain, a transmembrane segment, and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains. It is specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells and acts as an essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling.
The CD45 glycoprotein is crucial for lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, serving as a key regulator of Src-family kinases. Multiple isoforms of CD45 exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
Isoform expression depends on cell type and physiological state. CD45 also promotes cell survival by modulating integrin-mediated signaling and is involved in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45RA, an isoform of CD45, shows restricted expression among lymphoid cell subtypes.
Diseases associated with CD45 dysfunction include Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (T-cell negative, B-cell negative) and Hepatitis C.
