Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising about 10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It is absent in non-hematopoietic tissues and cell lines. CD45 regulates Src-family kinases, is essential in lymphocyte development and antigen receptor signaling, and modulates cytokine receptor pathways.
Different isoforms (e.g., CD45RA) arise from alternative splicing and vary in expression depending on cell type and physiological state. CD45 also influences integrin-mediated signaling, apoptosis, and immune regulation.
