Target Information
Doublecortin (DCX) is a cytoplasmic protein involved in neuronal migration during cortical development. It regulates microtubule organization and stability through its doublecortin domains and interacts with LIS1, essential for proper microtubule function. Mutations in DCX are associated with X-linked lissencephaly.
