Reconstitution:
Dissolve the protein in sterile double-distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/mL or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein that contains two immunoglobulin domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a broadly distributed cell surface glycoprotein interacting with CD200R on myeloid cells, implicated in preventing macrophage activation. Homologues of CD200 have been identified in herpesviruses and poxviruses. Studies in mouse and rat suggest CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and delivers inhibitory signals to macrophage lineages. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found.
Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
