Product Specific Information

This antibody reacts specifically with Histone H2A.Z acetylated at Lysine 4 (K4ac).
It shows no cross-reactivity with non-modified Lysine 4 or other acetylated Lysines in histone H2A.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems.
These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, then screen individual clones to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for nucleosome structure in eukaryotic chromatin.
Two molecules each of H2A, H2B, H3, and H4 form an octamer, around which ~146 bp of DNA is wrapped to form nucleosomes.
Linker histone H1 binds linker DNA between nucleosomes, aiding chromatin compaction.
This gene encodes a histone H2A family member and produces two transcripts via distinct termination motifs.
