Product Specific Information
This antibody reacts specifically to Histone H2A.Z acetylated at Lysine 7 (K7ac). It shows no cross-reactivity with non-modified Lysine 7 or other acetylated Lysines in histone H2A.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for the nucleosome structure of chromosomal fibers in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped to form nucleosomes. The linker histone H1 interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in chromatin compaction.
This gene encodes a member of the histone H2A family, generating two transcripts through conserved stem-loop termination and polyA addition motifs.
