Product Specific Information
This antibody recognises mouse IL-10R, a cell surface glycoprotein and receptor for anti-inflammatory IL-10. The epitope recognised by this antibody is localised to the ligand-binding domain within the extracellular region of mouse IL-10R.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for interleukin 10 and is structurally related to interferon receptors. It mediates the immunosuppressive signal of interleukin 10, inhibiting the synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines. This receptor promotes survival of progenitor myeloid cells through the insulin receptor substrate-2/PI 3-kinase/AKT pathway. Activation of this receptor leads to tyrosine phosphorylation of JAK1 and TYK2 kinases. Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and one non-protein-coding, have been identified for this gene.
