Product Specific Information
This antibody binds gpUL75 (gH) of the human cytomegalovirus, which is an 86-kDa glycoprotein.
The heterodimer glycoprotein H-glycoprotein L is required for the fusion of viral and plasma membranes leading to virus entry into the host cell.
It is thought to bind a conformational epitope on gH, and its binding is destroyed if the protein is denatured.
