Product Specific Information

The GL3 monoclonal antibody reacts with the gamma delta T-cell receptor complex (TCR) on all γδ TCR-bearing T cells, but not with αβ TCR. The γδ TCR is expressed in the thymus, epidermis, intestinal epithelium, peritoneal cavity, and lymphoid tissues.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse lymph node cells. Recommended ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Adjust cell number empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate for optimal assay performance.

Note: Pre-stain cells with anti-mouse CD16/32 (Product #14-0161-85) to block non-specific Fc-mediated binding.

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

TCR γ/δ (T-cell receptor gamma/delta) are specialized T cells that recognize antigens differently from αβ T cells. They are mainly found in epithelial tissues and play roles in immune regulation and antitumor activity. TCRs discriminate foreign from self-peptides presented by MHC class II molecules, essential for adaptive immunity. Aberrant TCR recognition is linked to autoimmune diseases and tumor development. Superantigen engagement of TCRs can cause toxic shock syndrome. Autoantibodies to TCR Vβ segments have been identified in autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, potentially modulating inflammatory responses.
