Product Specific Information

Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.


Target Information

CPA1 (Carboxypeptidase A1) is a 419 amino acid secreted monomeric protein highly expressed in pancreatic tissue.
It functions as a pancreatic exopeptidase using zinc as a cofactor to catalyze the release of C-terminal amino acids from proteins, playing a key role in protein digestion and degradation.
CPA1 may also inhibit zymogen activation pathways. Abnormal levels are associated with pancreatic cancer, suggesting potential involvement in tumor progression or suppression.
