Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CPA1 (Carboxypeptidase A1), also known as CPA, is a 419-amino acid secreted monomeric protein highly expressed in pancreatic tissue. It functions as a zinc-dependent pancreatic exopeptidase that catalyzes the release of C-terminal amino acids from proteins, playing a key role in protein digestion and degradation. CPA1 is also implicated in zymogen inhibition and may influence enzyme activation pathways. Abnormal CPA1 levels are associated with pancreatic cancer, suggesting a role in tumor progression or suppression.
