This YKIX337.217 monoclonal antibody reacts with canine CD90 (Thy-1), a 25–37 kDa N-glycosylated cell adhesion molecule expressed on thymocytes, peripheral T cells, some B cells, monocytes, and granulocytes at lower levels.
CD90 is also found in bone marrow, brain, kidney, and mesenchymal stem cells.

This antibody has been reported to deplete cells both in vitro and in vivo.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts.
CD90 plays a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other neural events. It serves as a marker for various stem cells and axonal processes of mature neurons.

Structural studies of CD90 contributed to defining the Immunoglobulin superfamily and the first biochemical characterization of a vertebrate GPI anchor.
Diseases associated with CD90 dysfunction include nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
