Product Specific Information

The AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. FcεRIα is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by the presence of IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits, which contain ITAM motifs responsible for signal transduction. The FcεRI complex plays a key role in IgE-mediated allergic reactions.

Target Information

FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha) is a subunit of the high-affinity receptor for IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex (αβγ₂) where the β and γ subunits mediate signal transduction. This receptor is central to allergic responses by triggering histamine and mediator release upon allergen-IgE binding. FcεRI couples allergen recognition to mast cell activation, leading to inflammatory responses characteristic of allergic disorders such as hay fever and asthma.
