Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies utilize proprietary dye chemistry for enhanced fluorescence intensity and improved signal-to-noise ratio. These recombinant antibodies offer superior specificity and lot-to-lot consistency through gene cloning and controlled expression in vitro.

Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific staining from aggregates.

Applications Tested:
This Btjce antibody has been validated in:

• Immunohistochemistry on mouse brain tissue
• Immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry on NTERA-2 cells

Recommended usage:

• ICC: 2 µg/mL
• Flow cytometry: ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test, empirically determined)

Target Information

SOX2 is an intronless gene encoding a transcription factor from the SRY-related HMG-box family. It plays a crucial role in embryonic development and stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and regulates gene expression in the stomach. Located within an intron of SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT), the SOX2 protein can form complexes with other proteins to act as a transcriptional activator. Mutations are linked to bilateral anophthalmia, optic nerve hypoplasia, and syndromic microphthalmia.
